Speak with a specialist

A common topic in recent times has been the emergence of tools based on Artificial Intelligence. They are capable of creating texts, images, and even performing tasks that were previously only manual. With the growth of this technology for all types of markets, a common question has arisen: do AIs pose a danger to human work? According to a survey by Hibou, 87% of Brazilians have already heard of AI. 78% believe it can replace human work. The same survey reveals that 51% of Brazilians believe that laws can limit the use of AI. 45% see the need for operators to control them, while 16% see no danger at all in these tools. But after all, are they a danger or not? The answer is simple - but also complicated. Yes and no. We explain below.

How did AIs come about?

Even though it is a "recent" topic, Artificial Intelligence is not a new technology. The first records date back to the 1950s, with the term coined by John McCarthy. In short, it meant a "way of teaching machines" to do certain tasks. Over the years, AI has been addressed at various times in science, the market, and even culture. Books like "I, Robot" and the movie "A.I. Artificial Intelligence" are some examples. Over time, AI developed and improved. We can, therefore, consider that today we are at the level of beginning to understand how it works and how it can be an ally in the market and even in everyday life.

What types of AI exist today?

There are many types of AI, and they are divided according to their use. The main ones are: • Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI): stores data and performs tasks.

• Artificial General Intelligence (AGI): is considered "human-level," capable of learning and responding to stimuli.

• Superintelligence (ASI): a "new" type that is expected to be capable of surpassing "human-level" and making decisions on its own.

Which markets can AI be applied to?

A recent study by OpenAI listed some of the activities that could be replaced by the use of AI. The research was based on chatbots and, therefore, many activities linked to programming and writing proved to be more susceptible. Some of the examples cited are: • Accountant and auditor

• Mathematician

• Journalist

• Administrative assistant

• Blockchain engineer

• Proofreader

• Interpreter and translator

• Writer

• Public relations specialist

The study also showed that the professions at “highest risk” are those that pay more. This is due, according to one line of reasoning, to the lower cost that technologies would imply. But don't worry, this doesn't mean that the rise of AI and the automation of some tasks puts your job at risk.

Why AI is not a risk?

The fear, although justifiable, is not an absolute truth. Many see AIs as a tool that will replace people, when in fact they will complement jobs. We should not view tools like ChatGPT and MidJourney as threats. Good professionals will know how to use them to their advantage and, thus, further improve their work. It all depends on one thing: specialization. We cannot expect today's professions to remain the same, because then they will indeed be replaced. Professionals need to study, improve, and learn a new way of doing their work with AIs. The Hibou study also brings some relevant points on how to insert AI into the routine. Some points are: 1. In text and image brainstorms 2. Customer service, configuring it with your brand's tone of voice 3. Improving the current chatbot and its structure, taking into account common questions 4. Variation of pieces, creating new content based on what you have already done 5. Mapping of recurring tokens 6. Efficient and personalized relationship rules And it is important to emphasize that all activities must be done under the supervision of a human professional. After everything is done, curation, review, and corrections are necessary to ensure the assertiveness of what is being done. https://youtu.be/L1Mgh0dtTc4

How does Pix Force use AI?

Today Pix Force relies on products and services that are based on Artificial Intelligence. These are technologies that optimize human work and improve many of our clients' results. We have products like Pix Counter, which helps count items from images. Pix Grid, which are solutions for inspecting transmission lines. Pix Safety, which controls access to restricted areas. DeepStack, which inspects linear coal and ore conveyors. And much more. All of these products were not made to replace the worker, but rather to show that there is much to contribute to their routines. Want to know more about our products?
